Leptinella potentillina Verdigris Brass Buttons
Leptinella potentillina
Verdigris Brass Buttons
Fast growing, green fern-like runners form on top and underneath the soil. Foliage turns bronze in the summer time. Quite a different color than other Leptinellas. Perfect for a shady pathway, as a lawn substitution or in a woodland area. Little yellow button flowers pop up in spring, but it is the verdigris color of the foliage that makes this plant a must for that historic, vintage look.

This plant is not available for on line purchase for 2012.
Please check your local garden center for current availability.

Tips from Fran
Leptinella potentillina has a distinctive edge over our other Leptinellas offered as it is indeed a fast grower. This one moves at a pretty good clip and has such good color, that it will give you that old world flavor in your garden.
