Riverbend Nursery is a progressive, container, wholesale growing operation that sells Select BIG Tag Groundcovers, Perennials, Ferns, Herbs and Ornamental Grasses as well as STEPABLES®, Gilbertie's Herbs, American Beauties Native Plants and LiveRoof pre-vegetated green roof modules to retailers, landscapers, and re-wholesalers.

Riverbend has two locations - the main operation in Riner, Virginia and a satellite operation in Cumming, Georgia.

In Virginia, forty five acres are utilized for production; 12 acres of indoor container production and 6 acres in outdoor container production. In Georgia there is another 3.5 acres of container production space. Combined annually the facilities produce about 5.5 million containers.

Over 1600 varieties are produced in both heated and unheated greenhouses and 70% of these are propagated in house. Our distribution area extends from New Jersey to Northern Florida to Texas with the majority of the product shipped by our own truck fleet. Orders are also shipped LTL, and subcontract carriers.
Our main focus is to get our customers the plants they need – when they need them.

Riverbend Nursery has been in operation for 23 years. During peak growing seasons Riverbend Nursery employs approximately 155 employees with the year round staff totaling around 75.
