Ophiopogon japonicus Nana Dwarf Mondo Grass

OPHIOPOGON JAPONICUS NANA DWARF MONDO GRASS

Ophiopogon japonicus 'Nana'
Dwarf Mondo Grass
Very ornate dwarf grass that has short, deep green blades that fold over and resemble a head of hair. Forms very slow moving runners above the ground and below. Topped in summer with small round balls, deep blue in color. Use instead of turf as a lawn substitute, around a pond, in a woodland around. Terrific between pavers and along stairs and makes a unique stand alone container as well.

Tips from Fran
Ophiopogon japonicas Nana is truly a winner in my book. I have had the same Mondo grass in my garden for over 10 years. I just cut it up and move it from house to house. It has had employees trample through it to take out garbage, children playing on it in the garden, my dog using it as an outdoor napping area and now it is in front of one of my benches to set a nice mood in my front entryway. Very nice!
