Muehlenbeckia axillaris Nana Creeping Wire Vine

MUEHLENBECKIA AXILLARIS NANA CREEPING WIRE VINE

Muehlenbeckia axillaris Nana
Creeping Wire Vine DROUGHT-WISE
Tiny, dark, glossy green leaves turn bronze as spring moves into summer. Very unique transparent fruit form with little tiny black eyes on wire-like stems which run on top and underneath the soil. Foliage turns more bronze with heat or cold. This plant tolerates drought, wind and poor soil. Perfect in a dry path, but will adapt to a garden setting as well. Needs excellent drainage to be content.

Tips from Fran
Muehlenbeckia Nana is one of those plants you either love or hate. Its unique bronze color sets off golds and blues in the garden nicely. It is a perfect tapestry plant as it is a slow grower and can keep your colors differentiated. I especially like this plant between stones, as it does not require much, if any maintenance to keep it in check.
