Thymus doerfleri Doone Valley Thyme

THYMUS DOERFLERI DOONE VALLEY THYME

Thymus doerfleri 'Doone Valley'
Doone Valley Thyme DROUGHT-WISE
Delightful lemon scent is a bonus with this gold and green variegated thyme. Foliage turns red tints in the winter. Lilac flower spikes cover in summer. Use in herb gardens, front entryway or around patios where the fresh lemon scent can be enjoyed. This plant needs sharp drainage to succeed. Over watering will impair growth.

Tips from Fran
Thymus Doone Valley is a delight to have in your yard. The foliage shifts colors from gold, to green to variegated depending on light. It has the most delightful lemon scent to make it even more interesting along with pink/purple flowers. It is not as low growing as the other thymes, thus the omittance from paths and patios due to height issues.
